Intro to Granny Squares

Take your crochet to the fun zone!

Granny Squares are so versatile and the creativity options are endless. You can make cardigans, blankets, patches and even use the granny stitch to make hexi-cardigans! You will need to have some crochet experience to complete this work shop.

You need to be able to complete basics like the single crochet, holding your tension whilst you work etc. This is NOT suitable for a novice.

The workshop runs for about 1 hour and includes all the materials you will need to practise the basic techniques and start a granny square you can finish at home in your own time. During the session we will learn about:

• The Tools & Materials 
• The Granny Stitch
• Working in the round
• Colour Changes 

This session would not suit young children. We would recommend this session for teenagers and above. Included are drinks and some snacks (biscuits). We do have standing room for parents but a fully booked session wont leave any seating available. This will be a 1 hour workshop, capped to a maximum of 4 participants at any one time.

The workshop is run from our shop based in Plymouth, Devon which has a small car park near by which is free for 3 hours. Please note payment is required in advance. We can accept payment via the shop or through the paypal invoice we will send to your email. Payment must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Failure to pay will result in your booking being cancelled. All materials and tuition are included in the price and there will be some time at the end for shopping should you wish to purchase additional supplies to take home with you.

** The shop does not contain public toilet facilities. Please bear this in mind as to whether this workshop will be suitable for you or your children. The shop can accommodate a single wheelchair per session. Please inform us at the time of booking so we can ensure set-up on the day takes this into account**
