Introduction to Amigurumi

Seasoned knitter intimated by the crochet hook? Wanting to try a new hobby but not sure whether crochet is for you? You can already crochet but cannot get the hang of working with chenille yarn, or you are just obsessed with the idea of making your own plushies - this is the workshop for you!

This workshop is not suited to a complete novice. Some basic knowledge of crochet like chaining, and the single crochet (US) or double crochet (UK) is required. You don't need to be proficient but you should be able to hold you hook and keep tension. This introduction to amigurumi is an 1 hour long workshop, capped to a maximum of 5 participants at any one time. The workshop is run from our shop based in Plymouth, Devon which has a small car park near by which is free for 3 hours. 

Get some guided hands-on experience in the art of amigurumi and working with chenille yarn to complete your own mini octopus plush. All materials and tuition are included in the price and there will be some time at the end for shopping should you wish to purchase additional supplies to take home with you. I am a right handed crocheter and knitter. Despite my best efforts I have been unable to learn left handed skills proficient enough to be able to teach. No refunds will be given in the event you turn up needing left handed tuition. We are actively looking into providing a tutor for a left handed workshop which we hope to bring to you soon. You are welcome to attend as a left handed person as many are able to learn facing opposite the instructor but please be aware of the above before doing so. 

** The shop does not contain public toilet facilities. Please bear this in mind as to whether this workshop will be suitable for you. The shop can accommodate a single wheelchair per session. Please inform us at the time of booking so we can ensure set-up on the day takes this into account**
